About Widow Assistance

With the ongoing presence of HIV/AIDs and societal pressures on women in India, many are left with few options when they are suddenly left widowed. Many of these women have lost their husbands because of HIV and often suffer from HIV themselves, making it difficult to hold a steady job while caring for children. We believe in empowering women to build a life for themselves through self-employment to support themselves and their families. Your gift will provide a widow with the means to earn a sustainable income, whether it's a pair of goats, rice grinder, market cart, or sewing machine. Your donation will not only bring a smile to her face but will also give her the ability to provide for herself and her local community.
